Video News CIG Devs Respond | What Happened to Star Citizen's Night Vision?

ST- John Crewe has answered the ever growing question of when more ships will get LAMP, or night vision, in the game.

JCrewe CIG

Hi all,

I wanted to provide a bit of context around why LAMP hasn’t yet appeared across more ships. Due to the way vehicles are built in Star Citizen, canopies typically consist of two panes of glass: an interior-facing pane and an exterior-facing pane. As you may have noticed, LAMP operates on the interior pane only, which means the effect is visible to players inside the cockpit looking outward. When ships are authored, there are two slightly different workflows for how the canopy and interior glass are set up depending on the ship:

Animated canopies – If the canopy needs to animate, the interior glass pane must be attached to the canopy...

Moving Away from Discord – Building Galaxcio the Right Way

Hey all,

As we continue getting Galaxcio off the ground, I want to share an important update about the direction of our community platform.

We’ve decided not to build around Discord. Instead, we’re transitioning toward a self-hosted solution that gives us full control and long-term stability.

Right now, we do have a temporary TeamSpeak 6 server available for use while we prepare for the next step.

Why we’re not using Discord

1. Security concerns & recent breaches

There have already been incidents involving third-party services connected to Discord where sensitive user data — including ID verification data — was exposed.

Even if these weren’t direct breaches of Discord itself, the issue remains: user data is still handled by external...

Infinite Space - This bundle fits perfectly into the harsh environment of Nyx, featuring a worn teal finish with yellow accents and a rugged, battle-tested look.In this video I showcase the RRS Morozov-SH-I armor, its backpack and storage, and the beautiful Grey’s Market Shiv paint included in the bundle.

Linux Linux - Star Citizen

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a quick write-up about my recent setup, since I know a lot of people are curious about running Star Citizen on Linux.

My Setup

I recently configured a dual-boot system with Windows and Linux, running Nobara Linux alongside my usual Windows installation. Once everything was set up, I decided to see how Star Citizen would perform under Linux.

Part of the motivation for this change is that I’ve become increasingly frustrated with Microslop 11. While AI tools definitely have their place and can be useful in certain workflows, I don’t need them embedded into every part of my operating system or pushed into every app. The constant prompts, ads, and nag screens have made the overall experience feel more intrusive than helpful.

Because of that, I started looking for an OS that gives the user more control over their...
