Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a quick write-up about my recent setup, since I know a lot of people are curious about running Star Citizen on Linux.

My Setup​

I recently configured a dual-boot system with Windows and Linux, running Nobara Linux alongside my usual Windows installation. Once everything was set up, I decided to see how Star Citizen would perform under Linux.

Part of the motivation for this change is that I’ve become increasingly frustrated with Microslop 11. While AI tools definitely have their place and can be useful in certain workflows, I don’t need them embedded into every part of my operating system or pushed into every app. The constant prompts, ads, and nag screens have made the overall experience feel more intrusive than helpful.

Because of that, I started looking for an OS that gives the user more control over their system...

Alpha 4.7 Roadmap Update: Status Committed

The following features have officially moved to Committed status for the 4.7 release. Note that while most 4.7 cards are locked in, the Nyx Missions (Pack 2) are now scheduled for a later date.

Core Systems & Features

  • Inventory Rework: A foundational overhaul of how items are managed.
  • Crafting T0: The first iteration of the crafting system enters the Verse.
  • Character Customization: New hairstyles and a variety of Faction Outfits (Claw Salamanders).
  • Armor & Protection: Integration of both Light and Heavy Combat Armor suites.
